Office Massage in Tampa: Seated Massage at Your Workplace
2 min readAleks, LMT
Sitting at a desk for hours takes a toll on the neck, shoulders, and upper back, and it's not always easy to fit a trip to a massage studio into a workday. If that sounds familiar, an office massage may be a practical option.
At Massage by Aleks, if you invite Aleks to your workplace in the Tampa Bay area, he can give you a seated massage right there, with no massage table and no special equipment.
How It Works
There's no massage chair or table involved. The session is done with you sitting on an ordinary office chair or a stool, and the work focuses on the areas that tighten up most from desk work: the neck, shoulders, upper back, and arms.
This is a one-on-one service. It's arranged by the person who wants the massage, so you book it for yourself and invite Aleks to your office. It isn't a corporate event package.
What You'll Need
Setup is minimal. Check with your employer or office manager that a visit is fine, then pick a quiet spot, such as a meeting room, an empty office, or a quiet corner. You'll also want a stable chair or stool, ideally one without wheels, and enough space around it for the therapist to stand behind you.
What a Seated Session Can and Can't Do
A seated massage works best for upper-body tension from long hours at a computer. It's a good way to take the edge off a stiff neck or tight shoulders in the middle of a busy week.
It has limits, though. Without a table, it isn't the same as a full session, and it can't reach the lower back, hips, or legs the way a table massage can. If your discomfort runs deeper or wider, our deep tissue massage at the studio, or a mobile session at home with a full table, will do more for you. If your neck and shoulder tension is part of a bigger back problem, see our guide to massage for back pain.
Where We Can Come
Aleks works from a private studio in Westshore, Tampa, and travels within roughly 10 miles of it. That covers many offices across Tampa and parts of the surrounding cities. Because some addresses sit near the edge of that radius, it's worth confirming coverage for your office when you book. You can see the full picture in our service areas guide.
Booking an Office Massage
Get in touch with your workplace address and the times that suit you, and we'll confirm whether it's possible. Session length and pricing are agreed when you book, and current prices for our regular services are on our services page. Reach out here to arrange a visit.
